Inside the Sunshine Mile

The Sunshine Mile will get the attention of the American Institute of Architects in Southern Arizona during Tucson Modernism Week. Twenty five of the historic storefronts on the Sunshine Mile will be open to tour and discuss with the folks who understand them the best. Come learn to love the area even more. Maybe you’ll get inspired about the future!

What to Expect:
Selective store fronts on the Friedman Block and the Solot Plaza will be opened, and participants will be
invited to view:
 Mid-century modern and contemporary drawing exhibit
 Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) Competition drawing entries
 AIASA Firm Boards Traveling Exhibit
 Currently empty store fronts activated with displays
 Information on the future of the buildings and the Sunshine Mile Urban Overlay District
Food trucks will be on-site at the Friedman Block.
Tickets will be available soon on-line for $10 per person with children 12 years and under entering free.
Check in and orientation will be at 2631 E Broadway Blvd. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event.
