Hairmosa Salon

Tucson has always been a place that connects people. In February 2020, Christine Abeyta opened the doors to her beautiful new salon at 2425 E Broadway Blvd. Although the circumstances were unforeseen amidst a pandemic, the community in Tucson has given Christine’s first year in business a beautiful start.

Christine worked at the salon at Midvalley Athletic Club, another Sunshine Mile business, for seven years before deciding to open her own salon. She started the business with her two daughters who each have built a client base of their own. When her oldest daughter moved from Phoenix back to Tucson, they knew opening a salon would be the natural next step for their family. She wasn’t expecting to open her business at the start of a pandemic, but when the stars aligned so perfectly for her, the amazing community around her made this year unforgettable.

At Hairmosa, they offer services for hair, skin, nails, eyelashes and more. Between Christine, her daughters, and the other women who work at the salon, they see a wide variety of ages in their chairs. The whole family can come in and walk out feeling fresh and well cared for.

“We want people to feel welcome”, Abeyta says. She has worked hard to create a warm environment where anyone can come in and feel like family. She has also taken time to build a team of people that she loves working with everyday. “We take care of each other and we trust each other’s work… I get to work with some really amazing people and this is a space where I’ve noticed people don’t want to leave. People say it feels like home when they come in here.”

There have been a handful of other business who opened on the Sunshine Mile this year. These business, like Hairmosa, are part of the bright new era that will soon dawn on Broadway Boulevard. The Sunshine Mile Business Association is proud to have Hairmosa as members and friends in the Sunshine Mile District. ☀️
